Clemente Beila didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ricardo Orzaize scored 1-0 in the 22nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Natalio Caton, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Ricardo Orzaize recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 25th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Severo Ciceron sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Severo Ciceron came up free with the goalie in the 30th minute, the Boca Juniors fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Severo Ciceron couldn't finish the play. When Ricardo Orzaize came up free with the goalie in the 31st minute, the Boca Juniors fans jumped to their feet. Cristobal Karmel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leonel Castulo in the 37th minute of play. In the 38thth minute of the game Leonel Castulo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Boca Juniors's Cristobal Karmel was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Severo Ciceron in the 43rd minute of play forced Social Club's goalkeeper Natalio Caton to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Severo Ciceron was the one to do the kick off. If Leonel Roland had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Natalio Caton showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ricardo Orzaize in the 56th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ricardo Orzaize in the 58th minute of play forced Social Club's goalkeeper Natalio Caton to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Social Club getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Rene Inko hit a great ball. Social Club's Natalio Caton played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Severo Ciceron in the 62nd minute of play. Severo Ciceron received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Natalio Caton tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 68 played minutes Social Club got a freekick which was hit by Rene Inko. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ricardo Orzaize in the 71st minute of play forced Social Club's goalkeeper Natalio Caton to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 74 minutes into the match, Severo Ciceron had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Natalio Caton. Social Club's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Severo Ciceron was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. Cristobal Karmel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Leonel Castulo, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. Boca Juniors's Cristobal Karmel proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 90th minute of the match, managed to save Boca Juniors from getting a goal against them. 91 minutes into the match, Social Club's goal looked a bit too open when Severo Ciceron came free, but Natalio Caton reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Natalio Caton came out of the goal in the 94th minute to try and stop a shot by Boca Juniors's Segundo Stephen. But to his dismay, Segundo Stephen quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. There was no doubt that Boca Juniors were the better team. Boca Juniors's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
