Spectators: 7274 (Terracing: 5457, Seating: 1673, VIP seats: 144) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Albano Maraman got the match started through his kick off. Eulalio Caradaro's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Armando Viator read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 2nd minute of play. After some careless play in the Antinaco FC defense, Leo Bitxintxo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Oscar Erauso. The Antinaco FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Oscar Erauso should have stopped the shot. Varela's Nereo Iturri got a good chance for a goal in the 7th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Oscar Erauso made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leo Bitxintxo in the 10th minute of play. 11 minutes into the match, Leo Bitxintxo notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Antinaco FC's Oscar Erauso. Oscar Erauso was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Ramon Txeru made a great header on Varela's corner, it was just that Antinaco FC's Oscar Erauso managed to reach the ball for a save. Cristian Padro's late challenge caught a Antinaco FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Cristian Padro helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Varela getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Cristian Padro hit a great ball. Leo Bitxintxo might have been able to make a better finish in the 35th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Oscar Erauso. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Leo Bitxintxo ran back to his position shaking his head. Albano Maraman blasted a shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Oscar Erauso having to make a save. 36 minutes into the match, Antinaco FC's goal looked a bit too open when Leo Bitxintxo came free, but Oscar Erauso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 45th minute Leo Bitxintxo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Oscar Erauso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Albano Maraman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Oscar Erauso having to interfere. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Eulalio Caradaro made a kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Albano Maraman in the 53rd minute of play forced Antinaco FC's goalkeeper Oscar Erauso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Antinaco FC getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Ivan Jeraldo hit a great ball. Albano Maraman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Oscar Erauso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Albano Maraman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Santiago Fliz hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. Albano Maraman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Oscar Erauso having to interfere. After 64 minutes, Emiliano Urdaspal mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Antinaco FC and the Varela players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Antinaco FC getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Emiliano Urdaspal hit a great ball. After 65 played minutes, Varela's Ramon Txeru shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Oscar Erauso came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Varela reached it. Oscar Erauso showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Albano Maraman, who was totally free with the ball in the 67th minute. After 69 played minutes Varela got a freekick which was hit by Cristian Padro. When Emiliano Urdaspal came up free with the goalie in the 70th minute, the Antinaco FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Emiliano Urdaspal couldn't finish the play. If Albano Maraman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Leo Bitxintxo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Oscar Erauso having to interfere. In the 77thth minute of the game Albano Maraman who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Antinaco FC's Oscar Erauso was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 78th match minute, Antinaco FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Reynaldo Ramond to maneuver through the defense. Eulalio Caradaro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Armando Viator having to interfere. Adolfo Dorio's late challenge caught a Varela's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Adolfo Dorio helped the player get up and apologised. In the 87th minute, Adolfo Dorio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Leo Bitxintxo struck a weak shot in the 90th minute. Oscar Erauso didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Varela. If Leo Bitxintxo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 94 minutes into the match, Antinaco FC's goal looked a bit too open when Albano Maraman came free, but Oscar Erauso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Armando Viator made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eulalio Caradaro in the 96th minute of play. The Antinaco FC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Varela were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
