The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. A collision led to Las Pelusas fc getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Cipriano Oriche hit a great ball. In the 15th minute, Cipriano Oriche left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Las Pelusas fc fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. If Robustiano Leizarraga had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Erubiel Burni received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Anier Garcia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Robustiano Leizarraga in the 25th minute of play forced Las Pelusas fc's goalkeeper Anier Garcia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Las Pelusas fc's zone, Robustiano Leizarraga stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Anier Garcia came out of the goal and Robustiano Leizarraga tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Anier Garcia showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Erubiel Burni, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. Las Pelusas fc's Timoteo Admon got a good chance for a goal in the 29th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Braulio Velasco had great luck who in the 31stth minute grab hold of the ball when Timoteo Admon from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. In the 36th minute, Robustiano Leizarraga got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Anier Garcia didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Erubiel Burni went, in the 38th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Erubiel Burni to make the kick off. Erubiel Burni fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Anier Garcia having to interfere. Emita's Erubiel Burni got a good chance for a goal in the 55th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 57 minutes into the game, one of Las Pelusas fc:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Las Pelusas fc's Anier Garcia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Erubiel Burni in the 81st minute of play. With a little luck, Las Pelusas fc's Anier Garcia got control of the ball when Robustiano Leizarraga tried to sneak it across the goal line.
