The audience thought a goal was coming when Celedonio Etxepare got free with Domingos Emesto in the 84th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Hermengildo Gaur hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. 87 minutes into the game, Petroquímica FC's Celedonio Etxepare nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Domingos Emesto made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-8. 91 minutes into the match, Persépolis FC's goalkeeper Domingos Emesto had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Celedonio Etxepare. Petroquímica FC played a much better game than Persépolis FC and deserved their victory. The Persépolis FC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
