Barato's supporters crossed their fingers, but Carmelo Atarrabi was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Carmelo Atarrabi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Claudio Benvide came up free with the goalie in the 8th minute, the Barato fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Claudio Benvide couldn't finish the play. A collision led to Curupayti AFC getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Clodoveo Efraim hit a great ball. After some careless play in the Curupayti AFC defense, Carmelo Atarrabi kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Virgilio Adrio. The Curupayti AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Virgilio Adrio should have stopped the shot. Claudio Benvide recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 21st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 26th minute, Silverio Gombal managed to get in a good position for a shot. Curupayti AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Silverio Gombal was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Claudio Sal breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Virgilio Adrio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Claudio Benvide, who was totally free with the ball in the 32nd minute. The audience was convinced that Claudio Benvide's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Virgilio Adrio was relentless in the 35th minute of the game. In the 39thth minute of the game Carmelo Atarrabi who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Curupayti AFC's Virgilio Adrio was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 43 minutes Barato's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Nereo Bikendi who took care of the corner kick. Virgilio Adrio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Carmelo Atarrabi, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. In the 48th minute, Claudio Benvide ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Virgilio Adrio was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. The Curupayti AFC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Barato were winning 0-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Silverio Gombal to make the kick off. Virgilio Adrio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Claudio Benvide, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 55th minute, Tobias Gilesindo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 59 played minutes Curupayti AFC got a freekick which was hit by Rolando Endura. Virgilio Adrio made a fantastic save in the 62nd minute, when Carmelo Atarrabi sent off a good shot on target. If Carmelo Atarrabi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Carmelo Atarrabi who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 66thth minute tested the skills of Virgilio Adrio when he managed to save the team from getting behind. With his leg Virgilio Adrio managed to avoid a goal in the 68thth minute, when Barato's Carmelo Atarrabi fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Claudio Benvide recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 70th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Clodoveo Efraim hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. In the 74th minute Claudio Benvide shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Virgilio Adrio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Claudio Benvide recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 76th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Virgilio Adrio made an important save on a dangerous shot by Carmelo Atarrabi in the 79th minute. 80 minutes had been played when some careless play by Curupayti AFC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Alvaro Tino was slow to take the kick. During this time Barato's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Alvaro Tino almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Curupayti AFC's Virgilio Adrio did a great save. After 83 played minutes Barato got a freekick which was hit by Raimundo Jaen. In the 84th minute of the match Nereo Bikendi sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Claudio Sal skillfully saved the ball. Carmelo Atarrabis short, quick shot in the 87thth minute got Virgilio Adrio to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 88th of the match, Claudio Benvide tried to place the ball in the upper right corner, but Virgilio Adrio got in the way and made a wonderful save. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Claudio Benvide in the 90th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Virgilio Adrio prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 94th minute of the match Alvaro Tino shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Virgilio Adrio showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The supporters of Barato booed when Curupayti AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 98 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rolando Endura didn't get a good kick on the ball.
