Fabian Lekubegi could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 15th minute of the match, but Celestino Remir made a huge save. Cesar Lizardi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Tafna AFC's Carlos Pacifico got a free kick in the 36th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Fabian Lekubegi got free with Celestino Remir in the 37th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Eduardo Hever's late challenge caught a Tafna AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Eduardo Hever helped the player get up and apologised. Eduardo Hever kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. The supporters of Tafna AFC booed when La Décima FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 45 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fabian Lekubegi didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Cesar Lizardi to make the kick off. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 62nd minute Fabian Lekubegi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Celestino Remir saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Fabian Lekubegi came up free with the goalie in the 64th minute, the La Décima FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fabian Lekubegi couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in Tafna AFC's zone, Roberto Pagomari stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Celestino Remir came out of the goal and Roberto Pagomari tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. La Décima FC's Remigio Leheren played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cesar Lizardi in the 79th minute of play. Fabian Lekubegi struck a weak shot in the 94th minute. Celestino Remir didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for La Décima FC. After 95 minutes of play, La Décima FC's Roberto Pagomari made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Celestino Remir was left in no man's land by his defense there! The La Décima FC support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
