Rigoberto Pepillo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Rigoberto Pepillo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. San Lorenzo's Ulises Cordaro got a good chance for a goal in the 30th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 34 minutes of play, San Lorenzo's Ulises Cordaro made it 0-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Rigoberto Pepillo was left in no man's land by his defense there! Rigoberto Pepillo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ulises Cordaro's shot from short distance in the 41st minute. Abelardo Garin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rigoberto Pepillo having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 46th minute, Abelardo Garin managed to get in a good position for a shot. San Lorenzo's supporters rose to their feet, but Abelardo Garin was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rigoberto Pepillo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The Palominos FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. San Lorenzo were winning 0-3.

The audience thought a goal was coming when Abelardo Garin got free with Rigoberto Pepillo in the 52nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. San Lorenzo's Abelardo Garin got a good chance for a goal in the 70th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ulises Cordaro received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Rigoberto Pepillo came out and tried to block the shot, but Ulises Cordaro slotted it home off the left post making it 0-5 in the 72nd minute. After some careless play in the Palominos FC defense, Abelardo Garin kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Rigoberto Pepillo. The Palominos FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rigoberto Pepillo should have stopped the shot. Ulises Cordaro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 82nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ulises Cordaro kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. Rogelio Lehoi charged in rather forcefully in the 85th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Rogelio Lehoi the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play.
