Gimnasia y Esgrima LP's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Beix Futbol Club the free kick. Venancio Grabiel hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. In the 15th match minute, Beix Futbol Club was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cristian Sedeni to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 17 minutes, Desiderio Ekhi managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gimnasia y Esgrima LP's supporters crossed their fingers, but Desiderio Ekhi was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 19 minutes into the match, Beix Futbol Club's goalkeeper Matias Indalecio had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Desiderio Ekhi. In the 21st minute, Desiderio Ekhi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Tadeo Lore's late challenge caught a Beix Futbol Club's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Tadeo Lore helped the player get up and apologised. Amado Policarpio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 29th minute Albino Ubelteso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vinicio Eduino saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 32nd minute Pablo Ritchie shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Matias Indalecio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 33 played minutes Gimnasia y Esgrima LP got a freekick which was hit by Pablo Ritchie. Desiderio Ekhi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Matias Indalecio having to interfere. Desiderio Ekhi could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 41st minute of the match, but Matias Indalecio made a huge save. Matias Indalecio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pablo Ritchie, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. An unexpected shot in the 46th minute by Pablo Ritchie got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Gimnasia y Esgrima LP's Pablo Ritchie got a good chance for a goal in the 53rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Pablo Ritchie blasted a shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Matias Indalecio having to make a save. Matias Indalecio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Desiderio Ekhi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Desiderio Ekhi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Matias Indalecio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Pablo Ritchie sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Matias Indalecio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pablo Ritchie in the 70th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Beix Futbol Club's zone, Pablo Ritchie stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Matias Indalecio came out of the goal and Pablo Ritchie tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 80 minutes into the match, Beix Futbol Club's goal looked a bit too open when Desiderio Ekhi came free, but Matias Indalecio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Desiderio Ekhi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 84th minute, Albano Nahia hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Severiano Urti in the 85th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Vinicio Eduino saved Gimnasia y Esgrima LP from getting behind. When Gimnasia y Esgrima LP's Pablo Ritchie in 90 game minutes managed to cut through with the ball in front of the goal, only having to shoot. Matias Indalecio guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in.
