Spectators: 6681 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1681, VIP seats: 0) Cafayate AFC's Dante Timo started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Isidro Cordeiro during the 5th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 4 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Pontevedra AFC! An unexpectedly hard shot by Dante Timo in the 11th minute of play forced Pontevedra AFC's goalkeeper Florencio Paz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 14th minute Timoteo Victoro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Erasmo Osoro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Erasmo Osoro didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Timoteo Victoro went, in the 20th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Florencio Paz made a fantastic save in the 23rd minute, when Eustacio Artal sent off a good shot on target. When Timoteo Victoro came up free with the goalie in the 27th minute, the Pontevedra AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Timoteo Victoro couldn't finish the play. Gaudencio Savion's late challenge caught a Cafayate AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gaudencio Savion helped the player get up and apologised. Gaudencio Savion hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. When Javier Orzaize fell near the penalty area in the 32nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Pontevedra AFC's protests and gave Javier Orzaize a yellow card for diving instead. Javier Orzaize kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. Tiburcio Efren, 32 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Erasmo Osoro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Timoteo Victoro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Erasmo Osoro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gilberto Napier in the 36th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Timoteo Victoro in the 41st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Erasmo Osoro prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Timoteo Victoro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Cafayate AFC's zone, Gilberto Napier stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Erasmo Osoro came out of the goal and Gilberto Napier tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 47 minutes into the match, Cafayate AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Timoteo Victoro came free, but Erasmo Osoro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Severiano Tximitx was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 54 minutes into the match. 54 minutes into the game, one of Cafayate AFC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The goalkeeper, Erasmo Osoro, was totally fooled by Pontevedra AFC's Isidro Cordeiro, who 56 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. 62 minutes into the match, Cafayate AFC's goalkeeper Erasmo Osoro had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gilberto Napier. After 63 minutes, Edgard Cesaro mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Cafayate AFC and the Pontevedra AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Gaudencio Savion blasted a shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Erasmo Osoro having to make a save. Eustacio Artal sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rigoberto Cibran's late challenge caught a Pontevedra AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Rigoberto Cibran helped the player get up and apologised. Isidro Cordeiro walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. Gilberto Napier sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a defensive mix-up in Pontevedra AFC's zone, Eustacio Artal stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Florencio Paz came out of the goal and Eustacio Artal tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 84th minute, Eustacio Artal managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cafayate AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Eustacio Artal was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Florencio Paz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Timoteo Victoro took the ball and in the 92 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Erasmo Osoro. Erasmo Osoro dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-3. 96 minutes into the match, Cafayate AFC's goalkeeper Erasmo Osoro had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gilberto Napier. Eustacio Artal's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Florencio Paz read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 100th minute of play. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Pontevedra AFC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
