After 11 played minutes La Plata got a freekick which was hit by Ruperto Orland. After a defensive mix-up in La Plata's zone, Esteve Chesus stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Valentin Rodriguez came out of the goal and Esteve Chesus tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Esteve Chesus in the 16th minute of play forced La Plata's goalkeeper Valentin Rodriguez to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Flavio Rey fell near the penalty area in the 19th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Larrogue's protests and gave Flavio Rey a yellow card for diving instead. In the 19th match minute, Larrogue was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Flavio Rey to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to La Plata getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Ramon Nesor hit a great ball. Esteve Chesus received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Valentin Rodriguez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 26th minute Roman Clodio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Valentin Rodriguez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 30 minutes of play, Larrogue's Roman Clodio made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Valentin Rodriguez was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 38th minute, Amado Oro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Larrogue's Flavio Rey got a free kick in the 39th minute. Esteve Chesus's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Valentin Rodriguez read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 45th minute of play. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Roman Clodio made the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute the ball was on its way in behind La Plata's goalkeeper Valentin Rodriguez, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The supporters of Larrogue booed when La Plata was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Amado Oro didn't get a good kick on the ball. Roman Clodio recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 64th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, La Plata's Ramon Nesor got a free kick in the 65th minute. Valentin Rodriguez stood somewhat misplaced when Roman Clodio came free in front of goal and shot 1-2 to the left of him in the 68 minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Silvio Silbestre in the 74th minute of play forced Larrogue's goalkeeper Jaime Ponc to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 80thth minute of the game Silvio Silbestre who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Larrogue's Jaime Ponc was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Esteve Chesus came free with the goalkeeper in the 84th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Valentin Rodriguez could save by the left post. 90 minutes into the match, La Plata's goal looked a bit too open when Roman Clodio came free, but Valentin Rodriguez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Valentin Rodriguez showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Roman Clodio, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. Roman Clodio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Larrogue's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
