In the 2nd minute, Eleuterio Oliverio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Nicolas Matthew received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Everardo Oliverios tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Pablo Timo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Pueyrredón booed when CA Hipólito Irigoyen was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eustacio Edwardo didn't get a good kick on the ball. The long shot by Remigio Ibar in the 13th minute really tested Everardo Oliverios's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Everardo Oliverios was out of position in the 15 minute of play, and Pablo Timo capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Pablo Timo really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. Nicolas Matthew could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 27th minute of the match, but Everardo Oliverios made a huge save. Nicolas Matthew fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Everardo Oliverios having to interfere. A collision led to CA Hipólito Irigoyen getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Eleuterio Oliverio hit a great ball. Nicolas Matthew struck a weak shot in the 39th minute. Everardo Oliverios didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Pueyrredón. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Eustacio Edwardo during the 40th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 40th match minute, CA Hipólito Irigoyen was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eustacio Edwardo to maneuver through the defense. Pablo Timo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Everardo Oliverios having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 47th minute, Arnoldo Libertad managed to get in a good position for a shot. CA Hipólito Irigoyen's supporters rose to their feet, but Arnoldo Libertad was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Luisito Grabiel breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Haroldo Sotil stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 56 minutes into the match, CA Hipólito Irigoyen's goal looked a bit too open when Nicolas Matthew came free, but Everardo Oliverios reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nicolas Matthew blasted a shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Everardo Oliverios having to make a save. The coaching staff of CA Hipólito Irigoyen protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Leandro Montrell had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. The referee gave Pueyrredón a penalty, 75 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Laureano Castulo, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of CA Hipólito Irigoyen's Everardo Oliverios. 2-0. Everardo Oliverios took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pablo Timo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 82nd minute, Pablo Timo ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Everardo Oliverios was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-0. Arnoldo Libertad was extremely unlucky when he, in the 96th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. In the 98th play minute Arnoldo Libertad came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Luisito Grabiel. 3-1. Pueyrredón were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of CA Hipólito Irigoyen for a fine match.
