But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Luis Otsoa couldn't finish the play. Luis Otsoa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fulgencio Rio having to interfere. In the 40th minute Marcos Matteo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fulgencio Rio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Luis Otsoa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 47 minutes into the match, GANDALF's goal looked a bit too open when Marcos Matteo came free, but Fulgencio Rio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

In the 54th minute of the match san lorenzo got a corner. GANDALF's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Fulgencio Mano ran over to the corner to take the kick. After taking down the ball on san lorenzo's corner Fulgencio Mano fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Fulgencio Rio quite easily take care of the ball. Marcos Matteo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fulgencio Rio having to interfere. Fulgencio Rio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Marcos Matteo, who was totally free with the ball in the 61st minute. GANDALF's Fulgencio Rio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marcos Matteo in the 64th minute of play. Luis Otsoa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 66th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Fulgencio Rio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Marcos Matteo in the 68th minute of the match. If Luis Otsoa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Fulgencio Rio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luis Otsoa in the 78th minute of play. Luis Otsoa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 91st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. san lorenzo had played much better football throughout.
