Claudio Hats could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 10th minute of the match, but Alvaro Cidro made a huge save. When Pedro Oihan came up free with the goalie in the 18th minute, the ChiquitinesF.C fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Pedro Oihan couldn't finish the play. Pedro Oihan's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Alvaro Cidro read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 24th minute of play. Fabio Rius hit a great freekick 25 minutes into the match. After 29 minutes, Marcial Cresconio mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the ChiquitinesF.C and the Volcán FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Pedro Oihan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Alvaro Cidro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Pedro Oihan blasted a shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Alvaro Cidro having to make a save. Marciano Goito's shot from long distance in the 43rd minute was not bad at all, but Volcán FC's Alvaro Cidro knew what was happening and pushed the ball into his arms just before it hit the right post. After a defensive mix-up in Volcán FC's zone, Pedro Oihan stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alvaro Cidro came out of the goal and Pedro Oihan tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Volcán FC's Alvaro Cidro proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 46th minute of the match, managed to save Volcán FC from getting a goal against them.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Aldo Igon was the one to do the kick off. Alvaro Cidro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Claudio Hats in the 50th minute of the match. 63 minutes into the game, ChiquitinesF.C's Claudio Hats nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Alvaro Cidro made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. In the 67th minute Efrain Loiola shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lucas Gutierrez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Marcial Cresconio was shown his second yellow card after 74 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. After 74 played minutes ChiquitinesF.C got a freekick which was hit by Marcial Cresconio. 77 minutes into the match, ChiquitinesF.C's goalkeeper Lucas Gutierrez had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Guaberto Mannie. Leonides Oskitz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alvaro Cidro having to interfere. The supporters of Volcán FC booed when ChiquitinesF.C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pedro Oihan didn't get a good kick on the ball. Alvaro Cidro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Claudio Hats, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The ChiquitinesF.C fans cheered their team off the field, for while Volcán FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
