Dalmacio Ihazintu ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 7th minute, Victor Pereyra ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Dalmacio Ostots was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Dalmacio Ostots took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dalmacio Ihazintu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 15 minutes, Dalmacio Ihazintu managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sorocayense FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dalmacio Ihazintu was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Dalmacio Ostots showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Victor Pereyra, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. Candido Quintin might have been able to make a better finish in the 20th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Dalmacio Ostots. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Candido Quintin ran back to his position shaking his head. Candido Quintin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Dalmacio Ostots tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Victor Pereyra blasted a shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Dalmacio Ostots having to make a save. Ciénaga AFC's Dalmacio Ostots played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Victor Pereyra in the 37th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Ciénaga AFC's zone, Dalmacio Ihazintu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dalmacio Ostots came out of the goal and Dalmacio Ihazintu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Dalmacio Ihazintu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Dalmacio Ostots tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Victor Pereyra had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Blas Errando charged in rather forcefully in the 44th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Blas Errando the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Blas Errando hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Anastasio Montrelle was the one to do the kick off. In the 55th play minute Dalmacio Ihazintu came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Dalmacio Ostots. 0-2. Victor Pereyra received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Dalmacio Ostots tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 71st minute the ball was on its way in behind Sorocayense FC's goalkeeper Godfredo Sanchez, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Godfredo Sanchez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rigoberto Txilar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 81 played minutes Ciénaga AFC got a freekick which was hit by Blas Errando. Ciénaga AFC's Dalmacio Ostots played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dalmacio Ihazintu in the 84th minute of play. 88 minutes into the game, Victor Pereyra lined in a short shot 0-3 behind a frustrated Dalmacio Ostots. 91 minutes into the match, Sorocayense FC's Victor Pereyra sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Dalmacio Ostots narrowly saved just below the crossbar.
