Clodoveo Vachon fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Saul Xabat having to interfere. After some careless play in the Liubliana F.C defense, Lázaro Bembe kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Saul Xabat. The Liubliana F.C fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Saul Xabat should have stopped the shot. The crowd rose to their feet as Liubliana F.C's Apolo Petrigai slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Ubaldo Sanchez. That made the score 1-1 after 25 minutes of play. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Saul Xabat prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Saul Xabat showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Clodoveo Vachon, who was totally free with the ball in the 46th minute. Clodoveo Vachon's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Saul Xabat read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 47th minute of play. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Apolo Petrigai stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The El Cuco F.C fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ubaldo Sanchez should have stopped the shot. 90 minutes into the game, one of Liubliana F.C:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 96th minute, Leopoldo Mirande hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. El Cuco F.C were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing Liubliana F.C to leave the ground with a draw.
