Lucio Bernebe showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gilberto Eliu in the 11th minute of the match. Ulises Cordarryl's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Lucio Bernebe firmly grabbed it by the left post. In the 22nd minute, Ulises Cordarryl fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Lucio Bernebe, passed just outside the right post. In the 25th minute, Eriberto Bitxintxo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. With an all-out effort, Onagoity's Lucio Bernebe threw himself towards the right post 46 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Gilberto Eliu, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. After a rather tough play, Carrizalito AFC's Amadeo Cristofol got a free kick in the 48th minute. Baldomero Muno's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Lucio Bernebe read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 49th minute of play. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gilberto Eliu stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Gilberto Eliu in the 83rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Lucio Bernebe saved Carrizalito AFC from getting behind. Lucio Bernebe took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ulises Cordarryl, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ulises Cordarryl in the 86th minute of play forced Carrizalito AFC's goalkeeper Lucio Bernebe to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 92nd minute Ulises Cordarryl shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lucio Bernebe saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gilberto Eliu's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Lucio Bernebe read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 96th minute of play. If Gilberto Eliu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
