Fulgencio Rami was slow to take the kick. During this time Racing Club's players had a chance to rest. Racing Club's Fulgencio Rami was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Marcelino Estefan in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Antonio Rico recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 25th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Řugge Eļ Leóŋ's Marcelino Estefan proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 33rd minute of the match, managed to save Řugge Eļ Leóŋ from getting a goal against them. Agustin Vachon's late challenge caught a Racing Club's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Agustin Vachon helped the player get up and apologised. Virgilio Onofre struck a weak shot in the 40th minute. Marcelino Estefan didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Racing Club. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

In the 55th minute, Antonio Rico got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Froilan Liher in the 59th minute of play forced Řugge Eļ Leóŋ's goalkeeper Marcelino Estefan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Saturnino Patxi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Řugge Eļ Leóŋ booed when Racing Club was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eustaquio Cordareo didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a little luck, Racing Club's Aquiles Federigo got control of the ball when Nemesio Crescencio tried to sneak it across the goal line. Froilan Liher received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Marcelino Estefan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Řugge Eļ Leóŋ walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
