Orlando Lidon might have been able to make a better finish in the 11th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Erasmo Canor. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Orlando Lidon ran back to his position shaking his head. Orlando Lidon fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Erasmo Canor having to interfere. Hernan Chorache's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Carmelo Palban read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 16th minute of play. In the 21st minute Hernan Chorache shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carmelo Palban saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Eustacio Berriotxoa kicked well hit freekick during the 21st minute of the match. Huinganco AFC's Hermengildo Natanael got a good chance for a goal in the 24th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Angel Crescencio charged in rather forcefully in the 27th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Angel Crescencio the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 27th match minute, Erize FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Angel Crescencio to maneuver through the defense. In the 30th minute Jaime Jago shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Erasmo Canor saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 35th minute Hernan Chorache shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carmelo Palban saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 37 played minutes Erize FC got a freekick which was hit by Jaime Jago. If Orlando Lidon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jaime Jago stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Danilo Emenon charged in rather forcefully in the 60th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Danilo Emenon the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 60 played minutes Huinganco AFC got a freekick which was hit by Danilo Emenon. 61 minutes into the match, Erize FC's Angel Crescencio broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jaime Jago in the 65th minute of play forced Huinganco AFC's goalkeeper Erasmo Canor to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Huinganco AFC's zone, Orlando Lidon stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Erasmo Canor came out of the goal and Orlando Lidon tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Hermengildo Natanael scored 0-1 in the 80th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Carmelo Palban, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When Oscar Rolado was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 88 minutes had been played. Oscar Rolado hit a great freekick 89 minutes into the match. Angel Crescencio, 90 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. The Huinganco AFC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Huinganco AFC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
