Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Progreso's Victor Ponce started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Progreso's Ezequiel Ulizes got a good chance for a goal in the 12th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 14th minute Oscar Abeijon shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Justino Furtado saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Victor Ponce kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Anselmo Naldo. That made the score 1-0 in the 17 minute of play. Progreso's Ezequiel Ulizes got a good chance for a goal in the 23rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 27 minutes into the match, Progreso's goal looked a bit too open when Oscar Abeijon came free, but Justino Furtado reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 27th minute, Eusebio Maria hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 40th minute, Victor Ponce got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Justino Furtado showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Oscar Abeijon in the 42nd minute of the match. Humboldt FC's Oscar Abeijon got a good chance for a goal in the 44th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Justino Furtado took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Oscar Abeijon, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ezequiel Ulizes got free with Anselmo Naldo in the 47th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Anselmo Naldo was out of position in the 49 minute of play, and Victor Ponce capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Victor Ponce really showed his touch with that goal: 3-1. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Ezequiel Ulizes in the 55th minute of play forced Humboldt FC's goalkeeper Anselmo Naldo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ezequiel Ulizes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Anselmo Naldo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 58th minute Victor Ponce shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Anselmo Naldo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Progreso fans' excitement grew in the 59th match minute when Progreso's Victor Ponce looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 4-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Ezequiel Ulizes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Anselmo Naldo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 74th minute, Ezequiel Ulizes managed to get in a good position for a shot. Progreso's supporters rose to their feet, but Ezequiel Ulizes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Anselmo Naldo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Uriel Baladi hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. Anselmo Naldo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Victor Ponce, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ezequiel Ulizes recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 77th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 79th minute Victor Ponce shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Anselmo Naldo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Tomas Jerrald hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. Teodoro Eneas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Justino Furtado having to interfere. Justino Furtado made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Teodoro Eneas in the 84th minute of play. If Ezequiel Ulizes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Anselmo Naldo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ezequiel Ulizes in the 91st minute of play. There was no doubt that Progreso were the better team. Progreso's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
