The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Honorio Isauro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 5th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Palacios FC's Cipriano Millano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Honorio Isauro in the 8th minute of play. In the 16th minute Honorio Isauro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cipriano Millano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 17th minute, Honorio Isauro managed to get in a good position for a shot. Covunco FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Honorio Isauro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cipriano Millano breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A collision led to Palacios FC getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Blas Estavan hit a great ball. Ladislao Nerio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cipriano Millano having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Honorio Isauro in the 27th minute of play forced Palacios FC's goalkeeper Cipriano Millano to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 29 played minutes Covunco FC got a freekick which was hit by Teobaldo Beat. Benicio Tallia was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 31st minute. Palacios FC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. With a little luck, Covunco FC's Teodosio Gregory got control of the ball when Esteban Quinton tried to sneak it across the goal line. Benicio Tallia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gaspar Aurken charged in rather forcefully in the 42nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gaspar Aurken the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 41 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Palacios FC! When Covunco FC's Ladislao Nerio in the 47th minute got a chance for a shot 47th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Palacios FC's goalie prevented a goal. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Benicio Tallia to make the kick off. Teodosio Gregory showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Benicio Tallia, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. After a rather tough play, Covunco FC's Santo Resto got a free kick in the 55th minute. After 56 played minutes, Palacios FC's Gaspar Aurken shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Teodosio Gregory came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Palacios FC reached it. Erasmo Constancio hit a great freekick 58 minutes into the match. Ladislao Nerio got in the 60th a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Cipriano Millano handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. After having played for 62 minutes, Honorio Isauro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Covunco FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Honorio Isauro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 71 minutes into the match, Palacios FC's goalkeeper Cipriano Millano had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ladislao Nerio. After some fancy dribbling in the 73rd minute, Esteban Quinton managed to get in a good position for a shot. Palacios FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Esteban Quinton was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ladislao Nerio could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 78th minute of the match, but Cipriano Millano made a huge save. After a rather tough play, Palacios FC's Gaspar Aurken got a free kick in the 82nd minute. In the 85th minute the ball was on its way in behind Palacios FC's goalkeeper Cipriano Millano, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Ladislao Nerio blasted a shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Cipriano Millano having to make a save. After a rather tough play, Palacios FC's Simon Vergaray got a free kick in the 87th minute. Honorio Isauro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 89th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Cipriano Millano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Honorio Isauro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Covunco FC's Teodosio Gregory played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Esteban Quinton in the 96th minute of play. Covunco FC played a much better game than Palacios FC and deserved their victory. The Palacios FC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
