In the 4th match minute, Club Atlética Surubí was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Melquiades Uzuri to maneuver through the defense. Club Atlética Surubí's Horacio Aureo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Domingo Bertin in the 5th minute of play. Horacio Aureo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Domingo Bertin, who was totally free with the ball in the 7th minute. Club Atlética Surubí's Horacio Aureo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Domingo Bertin in the 8th minute of play. Brete's Cristo Pinto proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 25th minute of the match, managed to save Brete from getting a goal against them. Club Atlética Surubí's Horacio Aureo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Domingo Bertin in the 26th minute of play. After 27 played minutes Brete got a freekick which was hit by Domingo Bertin. After a rather tough play, Club Atlética Surubí's Fausto Mingo got a free kick in the 33rd minute. Domingo Bertin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Horacio Aureo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Silvano Vincente in the 36th minute of the match. After having played for 39 minutes, Domingo Bertin managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Brete's supporters crossed their fingers, but Domingo Bertin was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 40th minute Adan Celipe shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cristo Pinto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Melquiades Uzuri hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

After some fancy dribbling in the 51st minute, Apolo Bortzaioriz managed to get in a good position for a shot. Club Atlética Surubí's supporters rose to their feet, but Apolo Bortzaioriz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cristo Pinto breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Alvaro Pitin kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. Apolo Bortzaioriz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Cristo Pinto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 58 minutes, Salvador Bras mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Brete and the Club Atlética Surubí players grew even worse after the yellow card. 58 minutes into the game, one of Brete:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. An unexpected shot in the 63rd minute by Domingo Bertin got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Arsenio Heli hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. If Apolo Bortzaioriz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Brete booed when Club Atlética Surubí was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Adan Celipe didn't get a good kick on the ball. Domingo Bertin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Horacio Aureo having to interfere. Apolo Bortzaioriz took the ball and in the 82 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Cristo Pinto. Cristo Pinto dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. In the 84th minute, Eleuterio Leguizamón hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Domingo Bertin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 91st minute Brete were awarded a corner. Antonio Cordearo went to the cornerflag to take it. After taking down the ball on Brete's corner Antonio Cordearo fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Horacio Aureo quite easily take care of the ball. In the 95th minute Apolo Bortzaioriz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cristo Pinto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. For all the effort they put into the match, the Brete players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Club Atlética Surubí.
