Fulgencio Abella received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 3rd minute. Nunez Viviano tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Fulgencio Abella had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nunez Viviano made an important save on a dangerous shot by Fulgencio Abella in the 10th minute. In the 12th minute, Teodosio Cisco hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 18th minute Bruno Lorien shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eleuterio Laurgain saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Honorato Garci fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eleuterio Laurgain having to interfere. In the 23rd minute, Romulo Txilar hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 26 minutes Fair's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. The supporters of Fair booed when Gauna S.A. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Godfredo Orti didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Fair's Teodosio Cisco got a free kick in the 37th minute. In the 42nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Gauna S.A.'s goalkeeper Nunez Viviano, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Justo Feliz to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute, Godfredo Orti hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Honorato Garci fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eleuterio Laurgain having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bruno Lorien in the 56th minute of play forced Fair's goalkeeper Eleuterio Laurgain to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Eulalio Lon kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. In the 61st minute, Honorato Garci got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. But to his dismay, Honorato Garci quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. If Tiburcio Ibar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Honorato Garci came up free with the goalie in the 98th minute, the Gauna S.A. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Honorato Garci couldn't finish the play. Gauna S.A. were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
