The referee showed Eleuterio Urbes the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 16 played minutes Iguazú got a freekick which was hit by Eleuterio Urbes. Simon Laurin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Diego Gartzea tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Diego Gartzea showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Simon Laurin, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. Emilio Jaume showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alfonso Ferrer in the 29th minute of the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Simon Laurin in the 39th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Diego Gartzea saved Alvarado from getting behind. The supporters of Alvarado booed when Iguazú was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 42 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eulalio Gutxi didn't get a good kick on the ball. 46 minutes into the match, Alvarado's goal looked a bit too open when Simon Laurin came free, but Diego Gartzea reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jonatan Giro to make the kick off. A collision led to Alvarado getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Ezequiel Vargas hit a great ball. When Jonatan Giro fell near the penalty area in the 54th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Alvarado's protests and gave Jonatan Giro a yellow card for diving instead. Iguazú's Godofredo Totakoxe got a good chance for a goal in the 55th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 58th minute of the game, Christian Dantae landed unfortunately after trying to head the ball, and pulled a muscle in the back, so badly that he had to leave the field. When Jonatan Giro was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 58 minutes had been played. After 60 played minutes Alvarado got a freekick which was hit by Jonatan Giro.
