After 3 minutes of play, Matadores FC's Mauro Platon made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Edgardo Tono was left in no man's land by his defense there! An unexpectedly hard shot by Santos Izotz in the 13th minute of play forced Matadores FC's goalkeeper Armando Breogan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Aurelio Rufo during the 14th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 14th match minute, Matadores FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aurelio Rufo to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Matadores FC getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Atilano Henry hit a great ball. Zacarias Cordero, 20 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Armando Breogan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Santos Izotz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Edgardo Tono made a fantastic save in the 25th minute, when Pascual Bernat sent off a good shot on target. After a rather tough play, Matadores FC's Pascual Bernat got a free kick in the 26th minute. If Santos Izotz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dante Kelemen recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 34th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 44 minutes into the match, Matadores FC's goal looked a bit too open when Dante Kelemen came free, but Armando Breogan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Coscu Army FC's Edgardo Tono played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Mauro Platon in the 49th minute of play. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

Pascual Bernat received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Edgardo Tono tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Edgardo Tono showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pascual Bernat in the 59th minute of the match. Mauro Platon blasted a shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Edgardo Tono having to make a save. The supporters of Matadores FC booed when Coscu Army FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Santos Izotz didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mauro Platon fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edgardo Tono having to interfere. If Pascual Bernat had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 81st minute of the match Sixto Ler shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Edgardo Tono showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Armando Breogan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dante Kelemen in the 84th minute of play. Matadores FC's Pascual Bernat got a good chance for a goal in the 90th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Coscu Army FC's zone, Mauro Platon stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Edgardo Tono came out of the goal and Mauro Platon tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.
