After taking down the ball on CSDyC Almafuerte's corner Marcelino Otsoa fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Edgardo Abastas quite easily take care of the ball. Benigno Tonio recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 34th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Virgilio Florin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edgardo Abastas having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Chumbicha's zone, Benigno Tonio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Edgardo Abastas came out of the goal and Benigno Tonio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Edgardo Abastas took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Carmelo Tabor, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. CSDyC Almafuerte were awarded a corner in the 45th minute after Chumbicha's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Marcelino Otsoa took the corner. CSDyC Almafuerte's supporters crossed their fingers, but Benigno Tonio was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. CSDyC Almafuerte's Virgilio Florin got a good chance for a goal in the 82nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Mateo Firmo had several of the Chumbicha's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 85 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 2-3 score and a disappointed Edgardo Abastas as he didn't even see the shot coming. 89 minutes into the game, Cecilio Jenaro was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Chumbicha's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave CSDyC Almafuerte the free kick. A collision led to Chumbicha getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Cecilio Jenaro hit a great ball. In the 92nd minute, Mateo Firmo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mateo Firmo in the 95th minute of play forced Chumbicha's goalkeeper Edgardo Abastas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the final whistle sounded CSDyC Almafuerte left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Chumbicha.
