Spectators: 7135 (Terracing: 5353, Seating: 1641, VIP seats: 141) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Honorato Niguel started the match with the kick off. Volcán FC's Victor Inautzi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Romeo Aguilera in the 3rd minute of play. Victor Inautzi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Honorato Niguel, who was totally free with the ball in the 5th minute. Omar Dolfos made a fantastic save in the 7th minute, when Jeremias Frechoso sent off a good shot on target. Through an outstanding action, after 8 minutes, Omar Dolfos successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Honorato Niguel in the 12th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Victor Inautzi saved Volcán FC from getting behind. After some fancy dribbling in the 15th minute, Romeo Aguilera managed to get in a good position for a shot. Fuentes's supporters rose to their feet, but Romeo Aguilera was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Victor Inautzi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 20th match minute, Fuentes was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Amador Rami to maneuver through the defense. When Joel Belmiro fell near the penalty area in the 22nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Fuentes's protests and gave Joel Belmiro a yellow card for diving instead. If Jeremias Frechoso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Romeo Aguilera fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Victor Inautzi having to interfere. After 29 played minutes Volcán FC got a freekick which was hit by Ubaldo Mosen. The audience held their breath when Amador Rami in the 31st minute of the game managed to trick the opponents defenses and fired away a shot outside the goal on the Victor Inautzi's left hand side. Victor Inautzi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Honorato Niguel in the 36th minute of the match. Victor Inautzi stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Honorato Niguel's shot from short distance in the 41st minute. In the 43rd minute Honorato Niguel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Victor Inautzi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fuentes's Romeo Aguilera got a good chance for a goal in the 45th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Victor Frederico was the one to do the kick off. Romeo Aguilera sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Romeo Aguilera recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 94th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Victor Inautzi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Honorato Niguel, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute. Many of Fuentes's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Fuentes may have spent more time on the ball, but Volcán FC were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
