Software Worker's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Gimnasia LP the free kick. Segundo Estebano kicked well hit freekick during the 8th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Gimnasia LP's Bernardino Marino got a free kick in the 10th minute. 12 minutes into the match, Gimnasia LP's goalkeeper Leonides Bordat had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Candido Gumaro. A collision led to Gimnasia LP getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Carlos Marin hit a great ball. Leonides Bordat made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arnaldo Inautzi in the 25th minute of play. Santos Loramendi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. Bernabe Gagriel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Santos Loramendi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 33 minutes into the match, Software Worker's goal looked a bit too open when Lisandro Perico came free, but Bernabe Gagriel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Arnaldo Inautzi came up free with the goalie in the 34th minute, the Software Worker fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Arnaldo Inautzi couldn't finish the play. After 35 played minutes Gimnasia LP got a freekick which was hit by Conrado Mateo. Gimnasia LP's Leonides Bordat played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arnaldo Inautzi in the 40th minute of play. Lisandro Perico sent away a hard shot on goal in the 42nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Santos Loramendi blasted a shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Bernabe Gagriel having to make a save. Bernabe Gagriel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lisandro Perico in the 46th minute of play. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Dalmacio Silviano's late challenge caught a Gimnasia LP's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Dalmacio Silviano helped the player get up and apologised. If Lisandro Perico had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 63 minutes into the match, Software Worker's goal looked a bit too open when Lisandro Perico came free, but Bernabe Gagriel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match had gone on for 66 minutes, Santos Loramendi put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Bernabe Gagriel. Leonides Bordat showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arnaldo Inautzi, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. Software Worker were awarded a corner in the 88th minute after Gimnasia LP's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Maximo Christobal took the corner. Santos Loramendi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Lisandro Perico had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gimnasia LP were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing Software Worker to leave the ground with a draw.
