Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-2 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Flavio Magdaleno stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 74th minute of the match, Flavio Magdaleno tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Ruben Cordero saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. During the 75th minute of the match Rosendo Ranolfo completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Rosendo Ranolfo a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. Ruben Cordero stood somewhat misplaced when Flavio Magdaleno came free in front of goal and shot 0-4 to the left of him in the 80 minute. In the 84th minute Silverio Inguma shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ruben Cordero saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ruben Cordero came out of the goal and Jacobo Abancens tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Chañar AFC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
