Baviano's Silvano Millrick got a good chance for a goal in the 37th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 38th match minute, Baviano was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Honorato Tome to maneuver through the defense. In the 42nd minute Silvano Millrick shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ermegildo Etxepare saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Eleuterio Donzel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ciriaco Urbes in the 44th minute of play. Honorato Tome received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. Ermegildo Etxepare tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.
