The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Uriel Innocenzio recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 5th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 8 minutes of play, Acequiones FC's Uriel Innocenzio made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Hilario Bernaldo was left in no man's land by his defense there! Benjamin Garcia hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. 16 minutes into the match, Nueva Esparta's goal looked a bit too open when Astor Emeterio came free, but Hilario Bernaldo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Uriel Innocenzio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Casimiro Baumar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hilario Bernaldo having to interfere. 21 minutes into the match, Armando Mirande had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Hilario Bernaldo. Nueva Esparta's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Armando Mirande was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Armando Mirande kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. In the 30th minute, Godofredo Kiliz hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Casimiro Baumar struck a weak shot in the 32nd minute. Hilario Bernaldo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Acequiones FC. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tomás Oihenarte in the 34th minute of play forced Acequiones FC's goalkeeper Evaristo Oliverio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Hilario Bernaldo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Armando Mirande, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Casimiro Baumar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Uriel Innocenzio took the ball and in the 38 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Hilario Bernaldo. Hilario Bernaldo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. An unexpectedly hard shot by Astor Emeterio in the 43rd minute of play forced Nueva Esparta's goalkeeper Hilario Bernaldo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 47th minute, Godofredo Kiliz reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Evaristo Oliverio. The goal made the score 1-3.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Astor Emeterio made a kick off. Uriel Innocenzio might have been able to make a better finish in the 53rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Hilario Bernaldo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Uriel Innocenzio ran back to his position shaking his head. Astor Emeterio recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 55th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 55th minute, Astor Emeterio managed to get in a good position for a shot. Acequiones FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Astor Emeterio was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hilario Bernaldo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Amancio Bernaldo kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. In the 60th minute, Isaac Txindoki got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 64th minute, Amancio Bernaldo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 66th minute of the match Isaac Txindoki sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Evaristo Oliverio skillfully saved the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Casimiro Baumar kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Hilario Bernaldo. That made the score 1-4 in the 67 minute of play. Eloy Bernal kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. Casimiro Baumar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hilario Bernaldo having to interfere. Evaristo Oliverio showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Godofredo Kiliz, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Nueva Esparta's zone, Uriel Innocenzio stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hilario Bernaldo came out of the goal and Uriel Innocenzio tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Casimiro Baumar who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 83rdth minute tested the skills of Hilario Bernaldo when he managed to save the team from getting behind. 84 minutes into the match, Acequiones FC's goal looked a bit too open when Godofredo Kiliz came free, but Evaristo Oliverio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 89 minutes into the game, Astor Emeterio lined in a short shot 1-5 behind a frustrated Hilario Bernaldo. The supporters of Nueva Esparta booed when Acequiones FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Armando Mirande didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Armando Mirande during the 95th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Evaristo Oliverio made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Godofredo Kiliz in the 97th minute of play. When the final whistle sounded Acequiones FC left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Nueva Esparta.
