The Heineken fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Miguel Restu should have stopped the shot. 14 minutes into the match, Heineken's Domingos Dacio sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Faustino Ugaitz narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Faustino Ugaitz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Domingos Dacio, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. Rigoberto Tebaldo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 17th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of Los Pibes Corvina FC booed when Heineken was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Urbano Javiar didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 26th minute the ball was on its way in behind Heineken's goalkeeper Miguel Restu, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Domingos Dacio in the 30th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Faustino Ugaitz prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 31st match minute, Los Pibes Corvina FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pablo Aznar to maneuver through the defense. In the 38thth minute of the game Domingos Dacio who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Los Pibes Corvina FC's Faustino Ugaitz was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Heineken's Miguel Restu proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 41st minute of the match, managed to save Heineken from getting a goal against them. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Baltasar Bibiano to make the kick off. Edgardo Rexino kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. Domingos Dacio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Heineken's Vicente Mateo got a free kick in the 68th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Urbano Javiar during the 70th minute. Faustino Ugaitz made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-3. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
