ElBarrio F.C's Inocencio Martxelin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gervasio Igon in the 16th minute of play. Monje's Gervasio Igon got a good chance for a goal in the 18th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 21st minute, Melquiades Elazar got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Anier Arias struck a weak shot in the 22nd minute. Sebastian Ekaitz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for ElBarrio F.C. Sebastian Ekaitz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Melquiades Elazar, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 84th minute, Anier Arias managed to get in a good position for a shot. ElBarrio F.C's supporters rose to their feet, but Anier Arias was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. ElBarrio F.C's supporters crossed their fingers, but Anier Arias was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 94 minutes into the game, Monje's Gervasio Igon nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Inocencio Martxelin made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. Monje's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
