The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Edgardo Lixandro during the 33rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 66th minute, Hilario Teofilio managed to get in a good position for a shot. Atlético Nicolas's supporters rose to their feet, but Hilario Teofilio was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Aristides Lohitzun breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Blas Montes in the 68th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Aristides Lohitzun prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 72nd minute, Abelardo Gelmiro ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Haroldo Iyan was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. Blas Montes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Aristides Lohitzun tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Blas Montes showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-2. Hilario Teofilio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aristides Lohitzun having to interfere. In the 96th minute the ball was on its way in behind Playadito's goalkeeper Aristides Lohitzun, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Despite being the better team, Atlético Nicolas failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
