In the 31st match minute, Ciudadela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hilario Ekain to maneuver through the defense. Arnulfo Valerio had several of the Famaillá's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 40 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 2-0 score and a disappointed Miguel Toribio as he didn't even see the shot coming. When Ciudadela's Arnulfo Valerio in the 44th minute got a chance for a shot 44th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Famaillá's goalie prevented a goal. Arnulfo Valerio succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 3-0 in the 47th playminute.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Bernabe Ticho made a kick off. After having played for 54 minutes, Reynaldo Hechter managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ciudadela's supporters crossed their fingers, but Reynaldo Hechter was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Miguel Toribio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arnulfo Valerio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tomás Sasoin's late challenge caught a Famaillá's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Tomás Sasoin helped the player get up and apologised. In the 60th match minute, Ciudadela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tomás Sasoin to maneuver through the defense. In the 84thth minute of the game Reynaldo Hechter who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Famaillá's Miguel Toribio was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When Reynaldo Hechter came up free with the goalie in the 90th minute, the Ciudadela fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Reynaldo Hechter couldn't finish the play. In the 92nd minute Arnulfo Valerio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Miguel Toribio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Reynaldo Hechter sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ciudadela walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
