Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Albino Noe got the match started through his kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Iriarte's zone, Albino Noe stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Geronimo Cordarryl came out of the goal and Albino Noe tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Carlos Belmiro could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 5th minute of the match, but Geronimo Cordarryl made a huge save. In the 5th match minute, Iriarte was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cristo Lidon to maneuver through the defense. Virgilio Pepillo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 6th minute of the match, but Geronimo Cordarryl made a huge save. Celso Bide charged in rather forcefully in the 7th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Celso Bide the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Iriarte's Celso Bide got a free kick in the 7th minute. When Albino Noe came up free with the goalie in the 8th minute, the Portugalete AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Albino Noe couldn't finish the play. Albino Noe fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Geronimo Cordarryl having to interfere. In the 16th minute Cecilio Ilazki shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ignacio Kelemen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 18 played minutes Portugalete AFC got a freekick which was hit by Alfonso Firmo. In the 21st minute, Joel Saturnin made a precise shot to the right of Ignacio Kelemen. Portugalete AFC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Albino Noe in the 24th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Geronimo Cordarryl saved Iriarte from getting behind. Prudencio Sol, 33 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Virgilio Pepillo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Geronimo Cordarryl tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Virgilio Pepillo struck a weak shot in the 45th minute. Geronimo Cordarryl didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Portugalete AFC. Geronimo Cordarryl showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Virgilio Pepillo, who was totally free with the ball in the 48th minute.

After 53 minutes, Nemesio Maurin mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Portugalete AFC and the Iriarte players grew even worse after the yellow card. The audience thought it was a sure goal in the 55th minute, when Iriarte's Cristo Lidon after having done a great run through the defense got himself free with Ignacio Kelemen in Portugalete AFC's goal and fired away a shot, but it missed the goal by a fraction of an inch. After 57 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Portugalete AFC! After having played for 63 minutes, Alfonso Firmo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Portugalete AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alfonso Firmo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 68th match minute, Iriarte was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cristo Lidon to maneuver through the defense. If Virgilio Pepillo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dante Gumaro's late challenge caught a Portugalete AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Dante Gumaro helped the player get up and apologised. Dante Gumaro kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. Portugalete AFC's Ignacio Kelemen proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 75th minute of the match, managed to save Portugalete AFC from getting a goal against them. If Virgilio Pepillo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
