If Julian Monte had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Leandro Silvino kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. Romulo Lohitzun showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alfredo Chinto in the 39th minute of the match. Guido Maidana tried to clear up in front of the goal, but didn't succeed and rather the ball rolled into the own goal to the right of a despaired Romulo Lohitzun. An unnecessary self made goal, 2-1 in the 41st minute. Alfredo Chinto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

The wind increased when Julian Monte made the kick off in the second half. Pontevedra's Alfredo Chinto got a good chance for a goal in the 55th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 57 minutes, Silvio Lorien mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Pontevedra and the Guaraní players grew even worse after the yellow card. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Guaberto Gergori showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Pontevedra's Alfredo Chinto slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Romulo Lohitzun. That made the score 2-2 after 67 minutes of play. When Alfredo Chinto came up free with the goalie in the 71st minute, the Pontevedra fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alfredo Chinto couldn't finish the play. Ambrosio Fresco received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 73rd minute. Guaberto Gergori tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
