The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Teofilo Rameriz helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Ruca Azul booed when BauCan RS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Teofilo Rameriz didn't get a good kick on the ball. Celestino Nel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Nicolas Aurken tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

In the 97th minute of the match BauCan RS got a corner. Ruca Azul's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Dante Ubendu ran over to the corner to take the kick. For all the effort they put into the match, the Ruca Azul players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for BauCan RS.
