In the 41stth minute of the game Aaron Tristan who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Corzuela's Desiderio Policarpio was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Andres Berbiz in the 46th minute of play forced Corzuela's goalkeeper Desiderio Policarpio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

Modesto Maureo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cecilio Oliveiro, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. Guillermo Ekaitz's late challenge caught a Corzuela's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Guillermo Ekaitz helped the player get up and apologised. Andres Berbiz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Desiderio Policarpio having to interfere. In the 78th match minute, Corzuela was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ricardo Florin to maneuver through the defense. Corzuela's Desiderio Policarpio proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 79th minute of the match, managed to save Corzuela from getting a goal against them.
