Leopoldo Venceslas charged in rather forcefully in the 15th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Leopoldo Venceslas the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Jimeno Jerico took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aaron Tristan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 21st minute the ball was on its way in behind Hereford's goalkeeper Jimeno Jerico, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Andres Berbiz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 24th minute, Aaron Tristan managed to get in a good position for a shot. Pila's supporters rose to their feet, but Aaron Tristan was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jimeno Jerico breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Hereford's Jimeno Jerico proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 29th minute of the match, managed to save Hereford from getting a goal against them. 33 minutes in the game, Andres Berbiz fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Jimeno Jerico having to interfere. Modesto Maureo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Roque Maurin in the 39th minute of play. 44 minutes into the game, Amancio Loi was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Pila's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Hereford the free kick. A collision led to Pila getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Amancio Loi hit a great ball. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

52 minutes into the game, Valentin Lazcano was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Hereford's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Pila the free kick. The supporters of Pila booed when Hereford was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Valentin Lazcano didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Andres Berbiz in the 56th minute of play forced Hereford's goalkeeper Jimeno Jerico to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Roque Maurin came up free with the goalie in the 57th minute, the Hereford fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Roque Maurin couldn't finish the play. Aaron Tristan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 63rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Andres Berbiz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Leandro Rioja fell near the penalty area in the 73rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Hereford's protests and gave Leandro Rioja a yellow card for diving instead. Andres Berbiz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jimeno Jerico having to interfere. Aaron Tristan's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jimeno Jerico read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 84th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ramon Bernard during the 86th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Ramon Bernard hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. After having played for 89 minutes, Aaron Tristan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Pila's supporters crossed their fingers, but Aaron Tristan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ramon Bernard got his second yellow card in the match during the 90th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. In the 90th match minute, Hereford was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ramon Bernard to maneuver through the defense. Jimeno Jerico made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aaron Tristan in the 92nd minute of play. Pila were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
