The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Tomás Nafarroa during the 12th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a defensive mix-up in La Lepra's zone, Timoteo Ferrando stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Evelio Montel came out of the goal and Timoteo Ferrando tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Elvio Libertad had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Elvio Libertad fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Evelio Montel having to interfere. In the 25th match minute, La Lepra was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ceferino Poncio to maneuver through the defense. In the 27th minute the ball was on its way in behind La Lepra's goalkeeper Evelio Montel, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Carolo Ponc showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Agustin Senen in the 32nd minute of the match. Leandro Florian hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. Evelio Montel acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 36th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Lino Fiz. 40 minutes into the match, La Lepra's Tomás Nafarroa broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. A collision led to Barclak getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Lino Fiz hit a great ball. When La Lepra's Emilio Nataniel in the 42nd minute got a chance for a shot 42nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Barclak's goalie prevented a goal. In the 45th minute, Timoteo Ferrando fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Evelio Montel, passed just outside the right post. Timoteo Ferrando might have been able to make a better finish in the 47th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Evelio Montel. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Timoteo Ferrando ran back to his position shaking his head. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

In the 52nd minute Elvio Libertad shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Evelio Montel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Elvio Libertad had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Emilio Nataniel sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to La Lepra getting a freekick after 65 minutes play. Ramon Osoro hit a great ball. Carolo Ponc took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Agustin Senen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Humberto Goyo kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. Carolo Ponc stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Agustin Senen's shot from short distance in the 78th minute. Carolo Ponc showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Agustin Senen, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 82nd minute, Timoteo Ferrando managed to get in a good position for a shot. Barclak's supporters rose to their feet, but Timoteo Ferrando was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Evelio Montel breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Timoteo Ferrando received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Evelio Montel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Timoteo Ferrando, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. Timoteo Ferrando blasted a shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Evelio Montel having to make a save.
