In the 30th minute the ball was on its way in behind Unquillo's goalkeeper Andres Bela, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 33 minutes into the match, Unquillo's Daniel Maju sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Cleto Mederi narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Domingo Teyo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 46 played minutes, Unquillo's Eleuterio Primeiro shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Cleto Mederi came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Unquillo reached it. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

Daniel Maju took the ball and in the 51 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Cleto Mederi. Cleto Mederi dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. In the 56th minute, Daniel Maju fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. The audience thought a goal was coming when Daniel Maju got free with Cleto Mederi in the 58th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Unquillo's Daniel Maju got a good chance for a goal in the 71st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Cleto Mederi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Daniel Maju in the 75th minute of play. Candido Berdoi's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 76thth minute, Cleto Mederi skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Gaudencio Nataniel received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Andres Bela tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
