Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Abel Cisco in the 23rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rodolfo Dantae prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Braulio Ganix received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Feliberto Botello came out and tried to block the shot, but Braulio Ganix slotted it home off the left post making it 1-3 in the 26th minute. 30 minutes into the match, Damian Peruanton had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Feliberto Botello. Ifrán AFC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Damian Peruanton was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-3. Abel Cisco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rodolfo Dantae having to interfere. Rodolfo Dantae took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Abel Cisco, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the Rincón AFC defense, Nemesio Elivareo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Rodolfo Dantae. The Rincón AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Rodolfo Dantae should have stopped the shot. After the first half Ifrán AFC were leading 2-5. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Abel Cisco made a kick off. In the 54th minute, Gaudencio Joanes got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Rodolfo Dantae breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
