Paolo Licerio took the ball and in the 10 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Marcelino Tiso. Marcelino Tiso dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Clemente Precioso blasted a shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Erubiel Ferrer having to make a save. Paolo Licerio received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Marcelino Tiso came out and tried to block the shot, but Paolo Licerio slotted it home off the left post making it 2-0 in the 16th minute. After 19 played minutes Deportivo Cristal got a freekick which was hit by Epifanio Quintun. 23 minutes into the game, Celestino Socorro cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-2. Erubiel Ferrer was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The audience was convinced that Primitivo Eron's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Erubiel Ferrer was relentless in the 26th minute of the game. Erubiel Ferrer took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Celestino Socorro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Primitivo Eron had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 32 minutes into the game, Generoso Onbera was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Deportivo Cristal's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Concord the free kick. The supporters of Concord booed when Deportivo Cristal was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Generoso Onbera didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 35th minute, Rogelio Bautista hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 37 minutes into the game, Fidel Lop was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Concord's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Deportivo Cristal the free kick. The supporters of Deportivo Cristal booed when Concord was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fidel Lop didn't get a good kick on the ball. The score stood at 2-2 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jacinto Lando made a kick off. Primitivo Eron received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. Erubiel Ferrer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Concord's Angelo Evis got a free kick in the 61st minute. Concord's Marcelino Tiso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Paolo Licerio in the 62nd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jacinto Lando in the 67th minute of play forced Concord's goalkeeper Marcelino Tiso to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Primitivo Eron struck a weak shot in the 71st minute. Erubiel Ferrer didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Concord. After having played for 77 minutes, Primitivo Eron managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Concord's supporters crossed their fingers, but Primitivo Eron was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Concord's Angelo Evis quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Epifanio Quintun, made in the 79th minute of the game. In the 80th minute, Primitivo Eron got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 85 minutes into the match, Primitivo Eron dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Erubiel Ferrer, 2-3. Celestino Socorro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Erubiel Ferrer having to interfere. Celestino Socorro might have been able to make a better finish in the 92nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Erubiel Ferrer. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Celestino Socorro ran back to his position shaking his head. When Emiliano Artizar fell near the penalty area in the 93rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Deportivo Cristal's protests and gave Emiliano Artizar a yellow card for diving instead. Deportivo Cristal's Jacinto Lando got a good chance for a goal in the 97th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Concord's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
