In the 14th minute, Hilario Guilabertus hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 15th minute, Nicolas Nalo sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Simpsons FC's Tomás Quirce didn't even have to move. When Feliberto Quentin fell near the penalty area in the 28th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Simpsons FC's protests and gave Feliberto Quentin a yellow card for diving instead. In the 28th match minute, Simpsons FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Feliberto Quentin to maneuver through the defense. After recieving a nice pass, Piquirenda's Nicolas Nalo tried to score from far away in the 29th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. After 35 played minutes Simpsons FC got a freekick which was hit by Vicente Nahia. In the 39th minute, Evelio Fonda got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Piquirenda's Raimundo Romano got a good chance for a goal in the 41st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Evelio Fonda received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Tomás Quirce tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Piquirenda's Jacinto Hustaz in the 47th minute got a chance for a shot 47th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Simpsons FC's goalie prevented a goal. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Evelio Fonda to make the kick off. If Adrian Senen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jacinto Hustaz might have been able to make a better finish in the 56th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Tomás Quirce. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jacinto Hustaz ran back to his position shaking his head. A collision led to Simpsons FC getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Roberto Gonzalez hit a great ball. After having played for 58 minutes, Jacinto Hustaz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Piquirenda's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jacinto Hustaz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Piquirenda's Jacinto Hustaz got a good chance for a goal in the 60th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 61st minute Evelio Fonda shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tomás Quirce saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Evelio Atarrabi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vicente Nahia, who was totally free with the ball in the 63rd minute. If Adrian Senen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 69 minutes into the game, Carmelo Heriberto was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Simpsons FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Piquirenda the free kick. A collision led to Simpsons FC getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Carmelo Heriberto hit a great ball. If Evelio Fonda had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tomás Quirce took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Evelio Fonda, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Vicente Nahia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Evelio Atarrabi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Adrian Senen in the 83rd minute of the match. When Vicente Nahia came up free with the goalie in the 86th minute, the Simpsons FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Vicente Nahia couldn't finish the play. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
