Cirilo Ferran showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Baldomiro Marques in the 11th minute of the match. Pelicurá FC's Cirilo Ferran played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Baldomiro Marques in the 14th minute of play. Cirilo Ferran showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Baldomiro Marques, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. After 17 played minutes Pelicurá FC got a freekick which was hit by Fabricio Corderro. A hard shot 21 in the game by Carlos Belarmo from a close distance when the talented Cirilo Ferran managed to make a qualified save. Pelicurá FC's players were relieved. Marco Marino's late challenge caught a Pelicurá FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Marco Marino helped the player get up and apologised. In the 23rd minute, Marco Marino hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The attack was good, but when Cristo Heli in the 25th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. When Fabricio Corderro came up free with the goalie in the 27th minute, the Pelicurá FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fabricio Corderro couldn't finish the play. Bernabe Cefero made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cristo Heli in the 30th minute of play. Bernabe Cefero didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Cristo Heli went, in the 30th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. If Fabricio Corderro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 39th minute, Cristo Heli managed to get in a good position for a shot. Pelicurá FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Cristo Heli was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bernabe Cefero breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Niceto Hats recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 40th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Carlos Belarmo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Carlos Belarmo got free with Cirilo Ferran in the 48th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Baldomiro Marques to make the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 51st minute, Niceto Hats managed to get in a good position for a shot. Pelicurá FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Niceto Hats was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bernabe Cefero breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Pelicurá FC's Silvano Bilintx got a good chance for a goal in the 53rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Fabricio Corderro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 58th minute of the match, Cristo Heli got a very nice opportunity to score, but Bernabe Cefero was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. 62 minutes into the match, Lugano city F.C.'s goalkeeper Bernabe Cefero had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cristo Heli. Pelicurá FC's Niceto Hats got a good chance for a goal in the 63rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 65th match minute, Lugano city F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marco Marino to maneuver through the defense. The long shot by Feliciano Karlo in the 66th minute really tested Bernabe Cefero's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. 69 minutes into the game, Moises Rami was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Pelicurá FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Lugano city F.C. the free kick. The supporters of Lugano city F.C. booed when Pelicurá FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Moises Rami didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some careless play in the Lugano city F.C. defense, Cristo Heli kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Bernabe Cefero. The Lugano city F.C. fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Bernabe Cefero should have stopped the shot. Cristo Heli sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After having played for 89 minutes, Fabricio Corderro managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Pelicurá FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fabricio Corderro was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Niceto Hats in the 95th minute of play forced Lugano city F.C.'s goalkeeper Bernabe Cefero to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Lugano city F.C. fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Pelicurá FC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
