Celedonio Matthew fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 7th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pablo Sidro having to interfere. Cristian Vigil charged in rather forcefully in the 16th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. When Celedonio Matthew came up free with the goalie in the 18th minute, the Nueva Chicago fans jumped to their feet. In the 20th minute, Feliciano Baumer hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 21st minute of the match Gonzalo Onofre sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Pablo Sidro skillfully saved the ball. Joel Perutxo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Joel Urtungo struck a weak shot in the 30th minute. Edgardo Perez didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Naschel. Joel Urtungo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Edgardo Perez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Celedonio Matthew in the 38th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Pablo Sidro prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Joel Perutxo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Edgardo Perez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the match clock showed 42 minutes, the score became 2-0 when Joel Urtungo sped through Nueva Chicago's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Edgardo Perez. In the 45th minute, Joel Perutxo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Edgardo Perez made a fantastic save in the 48th minute, when Aristides Chumo sent off a good shot on target. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Dante Iaki stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Joel Urtungo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The audience was convinced that Joel Perutxo's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Edgardo Perez was relentless in the 53rd minute of the game. After some fancy dribbling in the 54th minute, Celedonio Matthew managed to get in a good position for a shot. Nueva Chicago's supporters rose to their feet, but Celedonio Matthew was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Pablo Sidro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 56th minute, Dante Iaki got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Pablo Sidro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dante Iaki in the 61st minute of the match. A collision led to Nueva Chicago getting a freekick after 67 minutes play. Melchor Tuste hit a great ball. If Joel Urtungo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Pablo Sidro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dante Iaki, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Nueva Chicago's Edgardo Perez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joel Urtungo in the 80th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Joel Perutxo in the 81st minute a chance for a shot on goal. Edgardo Perez came out of the goal and Joel Perutxo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Celestino Primeiro was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 95 minutes had been played. A collision led to Nueva Chicago getting a freekick after 96 minutes play. Celestino Primeiro hit a great ball. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Naschel had won after a very even match.
