He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. After 33 played minutes tri pip got a freekick which was hit by Narciso Leguizamón. In the 34th minute of the match Marcos Bitxintxo sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Saul Jurdan skillfully saved the ball. Saul Jurdan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Marcelo Perpinya in the 41st minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in tri pip's zone, Marcelo Perpinya stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Saul Jurdan came out of the goal and Marcelo Perpinya tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Augusto Onofre made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mauricio Guillelmo in the 45th minute of play. Augusto Onofre showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mauricio Guillelmo in the 47th minute of the match. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Mauricio Guillelmo was the one to do the kick off. After 55 played minutes tri pip got a freekick which was hit by Diego Hechter. 58 minutes into the match, tri pip's Benjamin Tome sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Augusto Onofre narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Benjamin Tome fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Augusto Onofre having to interfere. Narciso Leguizamón hit a great ball. 78 minutes into the match, tri pip's Mauricio Guillelmo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Augusto Onofre narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Benjamin Tome had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 81 played minutes ACademico got a freekick which was hit by Ubaldo Mon. After 82 minutes of play, tri pip's Benjamin Tome made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Augusto Onofre was left in no man's land by his defense there! Gervasio Asteri kicked well hit freekick during the 88th minute of the match. Augusto Onofre showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Benjamin Tome, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. Elias Piearres hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. Arsenio Flor took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 94th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Augusto Onofre. ACademico's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The tri pip fans cheered their team off the field, for while ACademico had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
