Orlando Marino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 11th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Eleuterio Urtats charged in rather forcefully in the 17th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Eleuterio Urtats the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Vofi's Valentin Damario played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Orlando Marino in the 39th minute of play. If Orlando Marino had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Orlando Marino came up free with the goalie in the 47th minute, the Smith FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Orlando Marino couldn't finish the play. After the first half Smith FC were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Orlando Marino made the kick off in the second half. Valentin Damario made a fantastic save in the 52nd minute, when Laureano Reynardo sent off a good shot on target. In the 57th minute of the match, Laureano Reynardo got a very nice opportunity to score, but Valentin Damario was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Orlando Marino sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 66th minute, Orlando Marino managed to get in a good position for a shot. Smith FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Orlando Marino was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Valentin Damario breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With a little luck, Vofi's Valentin Damario got control of the ball when Laureano Reynardo tried to sneak it across the goal line.
