The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Through an outstanding action, after 3 minutes, Celedonio Gaueko successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. 5 minutes into the match, Devisadero AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Prudencio Cordearo came free, but Zacarias Aimar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Zacarias Aimar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Prudencio Cordearo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Alfonso Eriz kicked well hit freekick during the 7th minute of the match. 8 minutes into the match, Devisadero AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Victorino Lorien came free, but Zacarias Aimar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Devisadero AFC's Zacarias Aimar played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Victorino Lorien in the 10th minute of play. In the 11th minute Prudencio Cordearo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zacarias Aimar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Prudencio Cordearo in the 16th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Zacarias Aimar prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Zacarias Aimar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Prudencio Cordearo, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Victorino Lorien in the 21st minute a chance for a shot on goal. In the 21st match minute, Devisadero AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alfonso Eriz to maneuver through the defense. Victorino Lorien sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Manuel's Victorino Lorien in the 25th minute got a chance for a shot 25th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Devisadero AFC's goalie prevented a goal. The supporters of Manuel booed when Devisadero AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alfonso Eriz didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 28th minute, Victorino Lorien managed to get in a good position for a shot. Manuel's supporters rose to their feet, but Victorino Lorien was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Zacarias Aimar breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Victorino Lorien had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Devisadero AFC's zone, Victorino Lorien stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Zacarias Aimar came out of the goal and Victorino Lorien tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 36th minute, Victorino Lorien got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of Manuel booed when Devisadero AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alfonso Eriz didn't get a good kick on the ball. After recieving a nice pass, Manuel's Fidel Furtado tried to score from far away in the 39th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. In the 45th minute Victorino Lorien shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zacarias Aimar saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Victorino Lorien received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Zacarias Aimar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Victorino Lorien to strike the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Devisadero AFC's Isaac Menendo got a free kick in the 56th minute. Manuel's Prudencio Cordearo got a good chance for a goal in the 57th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Zacarias Aimar made a fantastic save in the 65th minute, when Lucas Quirze sent off a good shot on target. Zacarias Aimar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Victorino Lorien in the 67th minute of the match. Prudencio Cordearo's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 68thth minute, Zacarias Aimar skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. If Victorino Lorien had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Zacarias Aimar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Victorino Lorien, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. Celedonio Gaueko showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Horacio Joanes, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. 77 minutes into the match, Horacio Joanes had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Celedonio Gaueko. Manuel's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Horacio Joanes was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. When Gustavo Galindo came up free with the goalie in the 82nd minute, the Devisadero AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gustavo Galindo couldn't finish the play. When Manuel's Victorino Lorien in the 86th minute got a chance for a shot 86th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Devisadero AFC's goalie prevented a goal. 88 minutes into the match, Manuel's Prudencio Cordearo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Zacarias Aimar narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Prudencio Cordearo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Thanks to some nice moves Prudencio Cordearo could shoot a difficult shot in the 98th minute, which Zacarias Aimar however easily saved by the left post. Many of Manuel's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Manuel may have spent more time on the ball, but Devisadero AFC were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
