In the 55th minute German Berriotxoa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nicasio Matei saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. German Berriotxoa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nicasio Matei having to interfere. A collision led to Trinchera AFC getting a freekick after 61 minutes play. Hipolito Ordono hit a great ball. If German Berriotxoa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. Nicasio Matei showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Norberto Belo in the 95th minute of the match. 97 minutes into the game, Jonas Medina was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Esquina's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Trinchera AFC the free kick. In the 97th match minute, Esquina was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jonas Medina to maneuver through the defense. When the referee ended the match the Esquina players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
